Solera, authentic tapas and warm hospitality in El Arenal. Three years being your traditional haven on Calle Antonia Díaz.

The Bodega & Our Family

A true, time-honored Seville tavern in El Arenal

“At Bodeguita Iglesias there are no casual passersby: there is community, family and people who return.”

At number 9 Calle Antonia Díaz, right in the historic heart of Seville's El Arenal quarter, we open our doors every day with an honest commitment: keeping the authentic spirit of the traditional Andalusian tavern alive. While modern chains come and go, we stay true to slow-simmered stews, freshly carved Iberian ham and perfectly poured ice-cold beer.

Led by Rocío and an attentive team dedicated to warm service in the dining room and passion in the kitchen, our house has become a beloved neighborhood meeting place for locals, bullfighting aficionados heading to the Maestranza, and travelers seeking genuine Seville flavors.

Slow-cooked Seville stew meats gently shredded by hand with the perfect blend of tender beef, pork and artisan chorizo, served warm in crispy bread.

The Soul of El Arenal

Bullfighting heritage & Holy Week tradition

Calle Antonia Díaz is the beating heart of two of Seville's deepest devotions: the bullfighting ritual of the Maestranza and the solemn faith of El Arenal's brotherhoods.

50 meters from the Bullring

Pre-Bullfight Drinks & Post-Corrida Tertulia

Located just steps away from the grandstands of the Real Maestranza de Caballería and the famed Prince's Gate (Puerta del Príncipe), we are an essential stop during the April Fair, San Miguel festivities, and bullfighting season.

Experience the pre-corrida aperitif with an icy beer before the opening walk (paseíllo), and join the passionate conversation (tertulia) of aficionados and clubs at the bar afterwards.

Holy Week Heritage

Brotherhood Devotion & Lenten Cooking

Immersed in the historic path of illustrious Seville brotherhoods including El Baratillo, La Carretería, Jesús Despojado and Las Aguas. A natural meeting place for costaleros, capataces and devotees.

During Lent, our kitchen honors ancient vigil cooking: braised chickpeas with spinach, salt cod in tomato reduction, crispy cod pavías and honey-soaked artisan torrijas.
